Proactive maintenance and development of all Linux infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7x365 availability service

Design of solutions for the management of systems for various operational and project requirements

Maintain best practices for managing systems and services in all environments

Troubleshoot, analyze, and record information to report performance exceptions

Proactive monitoring of system performance and capacity planning

Manage, coordinate and implement software updates, patches, hotfixes on servers, workstations and network hardware

Create and edit scripts or applications to perform tasks

Provide information to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment

Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and implementation processes

Linux administrator requirements and requirements

Previous professional experience as a Linux administrator for (x) years

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a similar relevant degree

Thorough knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian etc.

Practical experience with MySQL and / or MariaDB

Familiarity with the management and concepts of VMWare and SAN

Expert for Shell, Perl and / or Python scripts

Sound knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP

Additional Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE and LPIC) are considered an advantage
